TECHNIQUES AND TIPS
- Wash twice a day - before shaving - with a mild gel or hypoallergenic liquid cleanser.
- At least nightly, massage a mild, alcohol-free moisturiser, with natural essential oils, into your face to keep the skin in top condition, stimulate cell regeneration and help delay those ageing wrinkles.
- When deciding on your pre-shave, lathering or aftershave product try to choose natural wherever possible. Avoid synthetic or chemical ingredients – fragrances, dyes and alcohol – in favour of essential oils.
- Avoid electric shaving. Just don’t do it! Spend a little more time finding the right wet shaving equipment that will leave your skin in much better shape.
- Treat yourself to a non-disposable razor with a sturdy horn or water-repelling wooden handle that offers balance, firm grip and good control.
- Aftershave should be regarded principally as a skin care product - not a perfume to smell good.
- That stinging shock of an alcohol-based aftershave lotion is not to be confused with refreshing the skin – you are more likely destroying and helping it to age.
