TECHNIQUES AND TIPS

  1. Wash twice a day - before shaving - with a mild gel or hypoallergenic liquid cleanser.
  2. At least nightly, massage a mild, alcohol-free moisturiser, with natural essential oils, into your face to keep the skin in top condition, stimulate cell regeneration and help delay those ageing wrinkles.
  3. When deciding on your pre-shave, lathering or aftershave product try to choose natural wherever possible. Avoid synthetic or chemical ingredients – fragrances, dyes and alcohol – in favour of essential oils.
  4. Avoid electric shaving. Just don’t do it! Spend a little more time finding the right wet shaving equipment that will leave your skin in much better shape.
  5. Treat yourself to a non-disposable razor with a sturdy horn or water-repelling wooden handle that offers balance, firm grip and good control.
  6. Aftershave should be regarded principally as a skin care product - not a perfume to smell good.
  7. That stinging shock of an alcohol-based aftershave lotion is not to be confused with refreshing the skin – you are more likely destroying and helping it to age.
